So over the overwatering! Are your leaves yellow and drooping? Let the top 3 inches of soil dry out between waterings.

Hung out to dry! Brown margins and edges are a sign that your plant is parched. Refresh and rejuvenate with water and humidity.

Not much newness! If you haven’t noticed much new growth on your plant for a while, it probably needs some sun and food.

Light

Philodendron selloum is happy in a shaded area but best in bright, indirect light. Avoid direct sunlight as this will scorch the leaves, taking a long time to recover.

Watering

Water little and often, keeping the soil moist at all times. Allow the top of the soil to slightly dry out between waterings. Water less during the winter. Will tolerate some degree of drought better than being too wet.

Temperature

Tree Philodendron likes average to warm household temperatures from 18-28°C and can tolerate short periods down to 12°C at an absolute push. Avoid cold draughts.

Humidity

Philodendrons are versatile when it comes to humidity levels, however, as a tropical plant, a good misting on those dry days will help keep the foliage looking fresh.

Feed

Apply a weak solution of liquid fertiliser once a month during the growing season. Do not feed during the winter.

Philodendron selloum has an ultimate height of 1 – 2.5m and a width of about 1.5m. However, it is important to note that Philodendron selloum is a slow-growing plant, so it may take many years to reach its full size.
