Horty Hints
Sun’s out, shades on! Direct sunlight will cause this plant’s colour to fade. Bright and indirect is the way to go.
Room to breathe. Haworthia like a little room to breathe, so keep them out of tight spaces.
Hold your horses! Be sure not to overwater your Haworthia, instead, water only as the soil is about to dry. This will prevent rot.
Light
The Haworthia cooperi will appreciate some bright, indirect sunlight throughout the day but can cope in slightly more shaded locations. Avoid direct sunlight as this can cause discolouration.
Watering
Water when soil is almost dry, this Haworthia needs free draining soil as excess water can cause it to rot, perlite is an excellent addition to the soil for drainage.
Temperature
Keep things warm in the summer months (20 – 22ยฐC) and do not allow temperature to drop below 5ยฐC in winter.
Humidity
Haworthia aren’t fussy when it comes to humidity but they will appreciate good ventilation. Avoid tight spaces.
Feed
Will appreciate a cactus fertiliser solution in spring and summer, none in winter.
